Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of resist dyeing that uses binding, folding, clamping and stitching to create patterns. Adopted in the west as a "refined" version of tie-dyeing, it creates an unending array of interesting effects. Some patterns are easy to create, some require hours of patient stitching.

Indigo dye is a natural dye that works very well with Shibori.

All indigo dyed products are unlikely to be 100% colour fast, so please wash separately, in cold water with weak, mild detergent. Dry in the shade, and do NOT tumble dry, and never treat with bleach or stain remover. This will help stop the colour fading over time.
